Nursery Schools

What's the difference between nursery and preschool?
Preschools usually work around a formal curriculum and trained teachers - making them a little more expensive! Nursery schools are usually a more relaxed learning environment and more flexible enrolment terms. They are also cheaper and vary greatly.

What age is a preschooler? Ages up to 4 is considered preschooler with toddlers are 1 - 3 year old bracket. Basically 4-year-old are not 'toddling' around any more and so are no longer toddlers!

What does preschool mean? A preschool, or nursery school, is a pre-primary school, or play school for early childhood education. Preschool is for children before they begin compulsory education at primary school.

Is Pre K considered preschool? Pre K schools are pre-kindergartens.

PreSchools and Playgroups for Bedford

Clapham Pre School

King George Playing Field, High St, Clapham, Bedford MK41 6BS, UK – 01234 341142

I have 2 children one currently at preschool and one that left in September. Clapham preschool ROCKS!!! We love it, the staff are kind and friendly and they will always try to help you with any situation. They can play outdoors whenever they chose as its easily accessible and secure. The staff are always looking for new projects to get the kids involved in all kinds of learning through play. Both my children have been and still are very happy going to preschool and that's all I can ask for. If I could give it more stars I would!

Lovely Preschool. Staff are very friendly and do a great job, they helped my son settle in very quickly and he loves going. He loves that it is free flow so he can spend lots of time outside and playing with the older children as well. I asked him what he likes about preschool and he said "my friends, toys and superheros." - Connor 3yrs ☺

Adrian Marsh School of Dance

134 High St, Kempston, Bedford MK42 7BN, UK – 01908 393315

We joined Adrian & Sara's class two years ago and knew we'd found the perfect couple to teach us to dance. Something we'd wanted to learn for many years. The classes are great fun but there is an attention to detail that is essential if you want to learn to dance properly. Not only do we enjoy our weekly classes, but have also attended the fabulous weekends away which so far, have included Bournemouth, Isle of Wight and Blackpool, where we had the chance to dance in the Tower Ballroom, the memory of which I will treasure forever. I thoroughly recommend Adrian Marsh School of Dance - come and join us, you'll never regret it!

My wife and I were looking for ballroom dance class with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In January 2014, we discovered Adrian and Sara's classes at Kempston and were immediately impressed by the welcome given and the teaching methods. It's a really fun class and you learn the steps to the many different dances without too much difficulty because of the way it is explained and demonstrated. We don't hesitate to recommend this dance school to all.
